Rick Carbone [Softball '18]

Rick Carbone was born in Muskogee, OK in 1955. After graduating from Muskogee High School, Carbone graduated from Northeastern State University in 1980. He spent the next 5 years coaching wrestling and powerlifting at the Parkview School for the Blind before transitioning over to his high school alma mater to coach baseball, softball and wrestling over the next 10 years. Carbone then became the softball coach at Connors State College in 1995 where he spent the next 22 years of his career. He returned to Muskogee for an additional two years prior to his retirement.

Combining his high school and collegiate coaching record, Carbone boasts 1310 career wins. He has been honored as the Oklahoma State Coach of the Year, as well and the Region II Coach of the Year and had his team take 5th place in the World Series in 1996.

Throughout his career, Carbone has had the support of his wife of 33 years, Kathy. Together they have a daughter, Lindsay, son Jordan and his wife Shelby and are proud grandparents of Olivia and Dawson.
